The only Mercedes Benz to make this list is the famous “Gullwing” 300SL, which happened to be the first generation of the SL class. It featured a front mounted inline six cylinder engine that produced an estimated 212hp. There was an optional engine that would give you an additional 10hp but it was the original model that set the speed record.
