19 Cars Once Known As “World’s Fastest Production Car”

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

Considered to be America’s first mid-engine production supercar, the Saleen S7 was a sight to behold. Its long, sleek body lines were something that normally wouldn’t be expected to come out of America. When it was released in 2000 it featured a 550hp Ford 351 Windsor engine, but later a twin turbo system was added which added an additional 200hp. Top speed on the S7 TT was claimed to be roughly 248mph.
