Using the same 3.5L ecoboost that powers its cousin, the Ford Expedition, the Navigator is able to utilize the 365hp generated by the V6 to reach a tow capacity of 8,600lbs. Normally V6’s aren’t known for being the best for towing, even V8’s really at least gas powered ones. The diesel engine rules the towing world because of the incredible torque they produce.
