20. Don’t Get Your Hopes Up

With so much beauty everywhere you look, it’s virtually impossible for men to not hit on the waitresses. And that, of course, means asking for a girls number with hopes of getting together outside of work. This is so common that they actually had to incorporate what to do in the waitress training program. What they came up with is quite brilliant actually. When a waitress gets asked for her number, she, in turn, responds by asking for the guy’s number instead. Then at the end of the night, they throw the numbers away. That way nobody’s feelings are hurt and you have a happy customer, at least until the next day when she doesn’t call.
19. Playing Games, The Real Kind

Working in any restaurant, there will be times where you’re busy, and times when it’s dead slow. Keeping yourself occupied in those down times can be a tricky thing. Usually you clean or something to make the time pass. But at Hooters, the girls get a bit more creative. They bust out the board games! That’s right, if you’re smart, you’ll wait for those times and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to walk in on a game of Twister.
