The key to feeling scared on camera is to not let the audience know. That’s what Kwiatkowski did. “When I got in front of that camera, I blanked,” Kwiatkowski recalled on Wallace Watchers. “I blacked out. I swear that’s the honest-to-God’s truth… the studio was full of crowds. I think that’s what really put the fright in me, everybody was standing there watching me… I was supposed to come in with the punch line and I forgot it. In the meantime, everyone was laughing, they thought it was part of the gag.” The rest is history.
