Behind the Phoenix Legacy The Wallace and Ladmo Show

4. Ladmo Bag Legacy

Most of the bags handed out on the show went immediately in the garbage after the kid wolfed down the sugary treats inside. It was a paper bag at the end of the day. Some, however, have survived the years. Owning a Ladmo Bag in Phoenix is a badge of honor, and a valuable investment. Folks in Phoenix reference the bags as a turn of phrase, “I never got a Ladmo Bag when I was a kid,” implying they had a rough childhood. At the Arizona State Fair, replicas of the famous bags often pop up as promotional tributes.
