11. Pat McMahon Joined the Show
Pat McMahon admits he took a job at KPHO only so he could get closer to The Wallace and Ladmo Show. “I said ‘I love these guys I want to be on that show,” McMahon said according to Wallace Watchers. “I got an announcer’s job at Channel 5, started hanging around the studio, watching the show with no idea that I really would be on.” That was in 1960. McMahon’s presence would change the show forever. One day, Kwiatkowski asked McMahon to help them on a bit as a third character. No longer a meteorologist, McMahon wound up “helping them” for another 30 years after that.
