13. George Lazenby

For a British character, the studio sure struggled to cast a Brit in the title role. Connery was a Scot, and Lazenby was Australian. Broccoli discovered the dashing, then unknown, model at a barbershop. Looks, it turns out, were not everything to playing Bond. Lazenby lacked acting skills, but even worse, he was difficult. “[The producers] made me feel like I was mindless,” he told the LA Times. “They disregarded everything I suggested simply because I hadn’t been in the film business like them for about a thousand years.” It was the first and last Bond film for Lazenby.
