4. Octo-excuse-me?

When producers released the 1983 Bond film, Octopussy, reporters had a hard time talking about the movie. They found the name racy, but it was the name of the film’s “bond girl,” played by Maud Adams. There was no way around it. The studio had attempted to replace Moore for the movie, as he’d intended to retire after the previous one. Amid the search, rumors of a rival Bond film arose, which would star Sean Connery. In a panic, they asked Moore to step back into the role one last time. He agreed, once again playing a man way too mature to sleep with someone Adams’ age.
