Battle of the COPOs: 2013 Vs.1967 (Video)

The 1967 Copo Camaro is one of the worlds great muscle cars. The Central Office Production Order (COPO) was Chevys way to backdoor performance limits. The first COPO 9561 cars were delivered to the famous Yenko Chevrolet in early 1969. A person could order their with or without stripes and spoilers. The stripe package included “SYC” decals on the front headrests. The COPO 9561 rolled with a 427 or 435hp and solid lifters in the 4-speeds or 425hp and hydraulic lifters in the autos. The car is a high point of the 1960’s muscle car offerings. Watch it race the newest version in a great showdown of old v new.
