3. There was a Fraudulent Superman
In the episode, “Flight to the North,” a man responds to an ad seeking the services of Superman. The character, played by Chuck Connors, whom we’ll come back to in a second, was Sylvester J. Superman. Well, that was the name he adopted when responding to the ad. He was no relation to the Man of Steel, just a guy looking for an opportunity. Connors was only in that one episode, but he went on to play Lucas McCain in the series The Rifleman. That was the role that made him famous. Look at that jawline!
