9. Lois Lane 2.0 Enjoyed Being Lois
When Phyllis Coates left the role of Lois Lane due to her fears of typecasting, Noel Neill scooped up the opportunity. Her sentiment about the role was the opposite of Coates’. Whereas Coates feared typecasting and shunned the association, Neill embraced it. She’d already played Lane in two movies, Superman and Atom Man vs. Superman, which aired in ’48 and ’50 respectively. She loved Lane so much, Neill toured college campuses in the ‘70s to talk about the show and her role. Superfans will know that Neill made a cameo in the 2006 movie, Superman Returns.
