The lovely Jennifer Jones was an American actress that won an Academy Award for her debut role in the 1943 film “The Song of Bernadette”. She was born with the name Phylis Lee Isley but was given the name Jennifer Jones when she was being groomed for stardom and it stuck. Jones would go on to star in more than 20 films over a 30-year career before retiring in the late 70’s.
