Royalties, where actors and producers get a kick for every airing of a show, were not so common. Back when they filmed “The Brady Bunch,” royalties of that sort were a new idea. Their agents could never have imagined how much money they would leave on the table with reruns, which might ironically be why networks often re-ran those old shows. They didn’t have to pay actors for every airing.
