28 Warships That Are Going To Change The Face of History

4. SAS Mendi

The SAS Mendi belongs to the South African Navy, and was launched from Simonstown in 2003. It’s not a crazy-fast ship, clocking in at just 30 knots (34 mph), but it does weigh 3500 tonnes. Speed isn’t necessarily an issue, though. The ship’s a warmachine packed with an arsenal of firepower, including different weapon launchers and machine guns. It’s also equipped with an innovative radar system. Nobody’ll be messing with South Africa any time soon!
