The HMCS Chicoutimi wasn’t constructed by its current owners. Rather, the Canadian Navy bought it in 1998 from the British Royal Navy. At the end of 2015, The HMCS Chicoutimi came along for an American mission, taking part in a Task Group Exercise off the coast of Southern California.
