16. The Band
Today’s cruise ships feature live performers, DJs, and recorded music. Titanic offered only the first-class passengers music, in the form of a talented live band. Musicians in the band had to memorize 352 songs so they could play any of them at will. Unfortunately for those musicians, they went down with the ship, reportedly playing songs to keep passengers calm until the bitter end.
