Today’s news (or yesterday’s if you will) is all about hybrid or electric cars, but there’s a good chance the life of these technologies is limited. Where they save money on fuel, they create ecological headaches on the back end. Batteries don’t last longer than a few years, although that may be changing. Someone just stumbled across a way to make rechargeable batteries last for around 400 years. One fringe fuel option which is whispered in some circles is Algae, which is an endlessly renewable fuel source.
