It’s was once normal for actors to misrepresent their age. Some still do, especially women, but the practice is fading. As such, when Montgomery passed, the world believed she was 57 years old and single. She was, in fact, 62 years old and married to Robert Foxworth. She didn’t feel it was anyone’s business, and she was right. Hollywood of that day would have treated her unfairly for the truth.
