5. Their Founder Was Anabaptist
As is the case with most religious, the founder came from a different religion. Jakob Amman, the man who moved with his people from Swiss Germany, was an Anabaptist. He sought to create a more pure form of Christianity. Plus, he wanted an excuse to grow a super sweet beard. Fine, I made up that last part, but here’s a true fact: they named the religion after him.
