So technically this car could have fallen into the Mustang category but considering that it was built by Caroll Shelby himself in 1967-1968 and then again a few other times. But we are going to focus strictly on the 1967 GT500. You may recognize it from its starring role as “Eleanor” in Gone in 60 Seconds. Although I’ve never been much of a Mustang fan, the 67 GT500 might be the best-looking muscle car ever made. Under the hood was a 428 cubic inch motor that was said to be grossly underrated at just 340hp.
