The Pontiac Firebird started life in 1967 and continued in some form until 2002 when production ceased. The first generation was 1967-1969, and these have to be the best looking in our opinion, closely resembling the Camaro. Using a 400 cubic inch motor, it was able to produce roughly 350hp, but in 1971 the Firebird Trans AM had the option of the big block 455 hp that was similar to the one used in the GTO, and was also said to be rated at far less horsepower than was actually produced with 360hp
