#18 Plymouth Roadrunner
Built from 1968 until 1980, the Roadrunner was built as the everyday man’s muscle car. Not as expensive as some of its competitors, it was designed to be fast and cheap, and no better way to make fast than to have the optional 426 cubic inch Hemi that powered the more top of the line models. It was also popular with the slightly less powerful 440 cubic inch motor. Plymouth had to pay Warner Brothers $50,000 to be able to use the Road Runner name, as well as $10,000 more just for the “beep beep”.
