It could be argued that the Chevy Impala wasn’t a “muscle car”, but it did come with an SS option with the 427 Cubic inch motor putting out an underrated 390hp . It was very popular for the drag racers and the low-rider crowds alike. Either way, the Impala made a huge impact on the car scene of the 60’s and 70’s.
