Now technically the De Tomaso Pantera should have an asterisk on it because some people would argue that its not a true “muscle car” because it was an Italian built car. Although it does have a Ford V8 providing the power so it at least sounds like a muscle car. The Pantera is a very rare car and its not likely that you’ll see one driving around town. It featured the Ford 351 cubic inch motor that was grossly underrated at just 330hp, according to the manufacturer claim. Reports of third party dyno testing say the numbers were closer 380-400hp.
