Is it a truck, is it a car? Nope, it’s the El Camino and that of course means both. It was first built for the 1959-1960 model years but was discontinued until 1964 where production resumed until 1987. For the most part, the El Camino was a fairly bland vehicle, although it had the pickup bed of a truck that came in handy from time to time. But there were a few models that got the SS badge which had either the 396 cubic inch motor or even better the big block 454.
