22. It Took 18 Months to Construct

This might surprise you considering just how complex the building is, but Disney’s team managed to build the Castle within 18 months. It was completed in July of 1971, making it 45 years old. The park opened three months after its construction in October of 1971.

23. Cinderella’s Castle Has a Twin In Tokyo

Many structures around the world have twins in other countries. The Magic Kingdom Castle is no exception. In Tokyo’s Disneyland, there’s a castle that is, for all intents and purposes, essentially the same as the one in Orlando, with a few small differences. While the original Disney World castle is 189 feet tall, the one at Disneyland Tokyo is a bit shorter at 168 feet tall. For a few years, the castle in Tokyo had an attraction guests could walk through, too, unlike the one in Florida.
