5. Cleon “Throck” Throckmorton

The man who owned to Krazy Kat Klub, Cleon “Throck” Throckmorton, was an artist who plied his skills in theater set design. Despite raids and pressure from authorities, Throckmorton kept his club running. It wasn’t only a saloon, though. Throckmorton offered painting classes too. Out in back, he built a tree house where patrons could sit and sip drinks while debating the demise of Prohibition. Today, the space is a fitness center.
