7. Joseph P. Kennedy
Daddy Kennedy, the father of President John F. Kennedy, was Joseph P. Kennedy. Accusations echo amongst some historians that Joseph was a liquor distributor during Prohibition. They maintain that this was how the Kennedys made the family fortune. It probably doesn’t help that Joseph furnished all the booze for his 10th reunion at Harvard, in the middle of Prohibition. Other than this, no evidence supports the accusation that he was an associate of Capone’s, but that doesn’t stop anyone from speculating.
