Mel Brooks
Few on this list are as famous as Mel Brooks, a director, actor, producer, and overall good guy. The man born into a Jewish family served in World War II against the Nazis. Of his time in the service, Brooks once said, “I was a Combat Engineer. Isn’t that ridiculous? The two things I hate most in the world are combat and engineering.” No doubt, the man has always been funny. He had a reputation for taunting the Nazi’s during the war.
