3. John de Lancie; Q, TNG, DS9, and VOY
While the character of Q may not have graced as many episodes as Worf, like Sarek he made appearances in many corners of the universe. He came from a powerful race of godlike beings but possessed a mischievous nature. When he wasn’t entertaining himself messing with Captain Picard, he was doing the exact same thing messing with Captain Janeway. Reflective of the other actors who escaped the black hole of Star Trek typecasting, John de Lancie came to the brand with a background in theater. When that generation of shows went off the air, Lancie had no trouble staying busy, acting, doing voice work, directing, and writing. He even co-authored a fan fiction book about his character, titled I.Q.
