8. Roxann Dawson; B’Elanna Torres, VOY
On Voyager, B’Elanna Torres was a character caught between worlds on USS Voyager. She was half-human-half-Klingon. It was this internal conflict that would often manifest in her character’s life to create external conflicts. When the Voyager series ended, Dawson continued to act in television, but she found a new passion on the other side of the camera. Once again, she found herself between worlds, but this time in real life. In time, the director side won out. Since her last acting role in 2011, Dawson has been strictly working as a director.
