12. Bonanza Reruns Were Called ‘Ponderosa’

In the summer of 1972, Bonanza was still being aired on Sunday nights, but reruns were also shown throughout the week. Producers wanted to ensure that new episodes were not confused with reruns, so, from 1967-1970 the show aired on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm under the title, Ponderosa. When ratings began to drop, that rerun was replaced with an extra new episode every week.
