48. Lots of Love for Hoss

Hoss was played by Dan Blocker, and he was one of the all-time favorites on the show. As this list goes on, you’ll learn quite a bit about Blocker and his interesting childhood. Landing a role on Bonanza was a major stepping stone for most of the actors involved in the show. However, one actor found himself with the tough decision of accepting the role as Adam Cartwright, or the one and only Zorro. That actor was Guy Williams and while he did end up choosing Zorro, he still appeared in five episodes as cousin Will Cartwright.
