When the moviemakers behind the Bond franchise moved on from Pierce Brosnan, it was 2002. The last 007 starring Pierce was “Die Another Day.” It took them years to replace Brosnan, a tribute to his irreplaceability. They landed on Daniel Craig, but not before considering Hugh Jackman. The famous face behind Wolverine had his hands full of contracts and money already. As late as 2015, he was still open to auditioning for Bond.
