17. Giant Pacific Octopus

Cephalopods are easily some of the coolest animals on the planet. They can morph into any background to disappear before your eyes. This particular species hangs out in the colder waters of the Pacific and can grow big, like 156 pounds big. That’s a small adult human. They’re not poisonous, but like most octopuses, they hide a beak like a hawk under those tentacles. On top of this, they are highly intelligent, able to solve problems, use tools, and escape enclosures.
