14. Armored Tanks
Demonstrative of the North Korean strategy of “let’s see them try to come and get us,” they maintain around 5,500 tanks. Not all are viable protection for the soldiers inside, but the ones they like to parade about have armored plating. We believe those tanks use borrowed Soviet or Chinese technology. In a ground battle, the North Koreans would struggle against a U.S. tank invasion, but they would put up a good fight.
