1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider – $8,500,000
This Ferrari was 23 of 50 made, sold in 1959 to Prince Alvise Hercolani of Bologna. It changed hands several times, once held for 30 years by the same owner, but then sold to a man who invested heavily up to standards. He sold it in 2011. It sold twice more after that, this last time for $8.5 million. Models of the same year have sold similar prices, but one is currently up for auction by Sotheby’s, appraised at over $11 million. As one of Ferrari’s iconic model, collectors regard this build as a unique example of the California Spider.
