Growing up Israeli, Gadot was familiar with tough workouts. She served two years in the Israeli Defense Forces and competed as a beauty queen. In her life as a beauty pageant competitor, she competed for Miss Israel and Miss Universe. For these competitions she had to slim way down, but for Wonder Woman, it was time to pack back on the weight, 17 pounds of it. That’s a lot for anyone who’s not trying to gain much body fat. To do it, she trained for six months, reportedly training six hours a day, but that sounds unbelievably exaggerated.
