As a kid you don’t realize the show is base around the Duke boys delivering moonshine that Uncle Jesse makes in his illegal still on the family farm. That is why they are getting chased so much, but that doesn’t matter really because the only reason anyone watched the show was for the car segments, well and Daisy. There were a lot of cars used to film the 7 seasons of the show, it was reported that somewhere between 255 and 320 in total. Multiple cars were needed for the filming of each episode and when you see the size of jumps that are done with the car you can see why. Even though in the show the General lands on flat ground after being 20 feet in the air and drives off no problem, that car shot doing that jump most likely landed in pieces.
