Billy Martin was known throughout baseball for his fiery temper, and also that he was fired as the New York Yankees manager five times. Martin was 61 when he was killed after the f-150 truck he was riding in skidded off the road and down a 300 foot embankment in a terrible ice storm near his home on Christmas Day, 1989.
