During the 1950’s, there was quite the shortage of actors who could play the role of a cowboy on TV. Because of that, the show’s creators had to get creative when it came to casting the many different roles. One of the recurring characters on the show was Marshal Micah Torrance, played by the actor Paul Fix. You may not have noticed, but Fix actually made an appearance as a doctor who patched up the character played by Dennis Hopper in the premier episode.
