Now the Chevy Vega probably should receive an asterisk on it when appearing on the worst cars list. It maybe depends on when you owned or drove one, and more importantly what level of modifications have been done to it. When first introduced back in 1971 it was raved about, even being awarded the Motor Trend Car of the Year. So if you had one of the first few cars off the production line they might’ve been great. But not only were they unreliable and prone to major engine failure, you also had the fact they were extremely vulnerable to corrosion. They have been known to be a good drag car once they were totally rebuilt, so maybe a drag car shell.
