Brazil
The largest nation in South America, Brazil keeps 735 aircraft and 486 tanks. They have an active 330,000 soldiers, with an impressive 1.8-million reserves on top of that. Most of the conflict they’ve faced has been in South America, although they did fight with the allies in WWII. They also help the U.N. with peacekeeping missions. In Haiti, they keep a small number of troops since the 2010 earthquake. Brazil also uses its military to manage domestic affairs like the drug war.
