The Cuda was an instant classic when it released the 426 cubic inch Hemi engine that was capable of horsepower as high as 425. There were rumors that Plymouth low balled the Hp and that it was closer to 500. They released the Hemi In 1968 in small numbers of the Barracuda fastbacks so they could be used in super stock car racing. But the iconic Cuda’s that we cherish today were the ones made from 1970-1974.
