Let’s start this post with writing down the definition of muscle car. We can’t really define these cars with one sentence, but let’s just say a muscle car is a two-door car powered by a high-displacement engine.

People who make muscle cars take speed as number one priority. These cars are not built or sold in huge numbers, because these cars are not for everyone.

The speed and the power that a muscle car can produce is something that car enthusiasts are passionate about.

The first ever muscle car is produced is the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. People wanted cars with power and speed, and the Rocket 88 was the response. The Rocket 88 was equipped with high-compression overhead valve V8 engine.

But lots of great cars were built from 1965 to 1970, any many of them earned their place in history with the power and the speed they possess.

1.1970 AMC REBEL MACHINE

The AMC REBEL MACHINE featured a 390 cubic inch V8 engine with 340 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The machine was a muscle car version of the AMC Rebel. The engine is fed by a 690 – cfm Motocraft 4 barrel carburetor and pumped up a 10.0:1 compression requiring high – octane gasoline.
